Pour it into your mould until you achieve a depth of 3-5 cm and while the concrete is wet position your candles into the concrete. Push them down 1.5cm deep in your desired pattern. <strong><em>Tip: <\/em><\/strong>be sure not to press the candles in too deep or it could cause the cement to break when you remove it from the form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. <\/strong>Secure the candles in place by creating a grid of sticky tape around each candle \u2014 you want the candles to be as straight as possible as you leave it to dry for 48 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-image-8125\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"732\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2.jpg\" alt=\"Allow concrete to set with candle in place\" class=\"wp-image-8125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2.jpg 732w, https:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2-370x247.jpg 370w, https:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2-570x381.jpg 570w, https:\/\/stylecurator.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Step-1-and-2-50x33.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 732px) 100vw, 732px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Step 1 and 2<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Once concrete is completely dry, carefully remove the mould. You can keep the candleholder organic like ours or get creative and add touches of paint for interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Tip:<\/em><\/strong> there are many ways you can personalise this concrete design for your home. For example, you could press crystals or shells into the wet concrete to add a natural element. Alternatively, you can using things like lace fabric or leaves to create imprints and patterns on the concrete surface. We also love adding pigments and dyes to tint the concrete.
