1. Update your lighting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re stuck with horrible fluorescents or outdated light fixtures, there is a super quick and cheap fix. Buy some floor and table lamps and strategically place them in your living areas and bedrooms. Or if it’s bare bulbs, or removable lightshades, buy some cheap and pretty DIY light fixtures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Change up the hardware<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To instantly modernise a kitchen or bathroom, simply unscrew the handles on the cabinetry and replace with fancy new ones! Just don\u2019t forget to pop the old handles in a labelled snap-lock bag and store in a safe place so you can replace them when you move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. DIY your own bathroom tiles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yep, you read that correctly! Dalia made her own ‘real fake tiles’ to achieve the exact bathroom aesthetic she always wanted without making permanent changes. She started by protecting the bathroom walls with removable wallpaper and then used plaster to create the pattern and texture of handmade tiles over the top.
